New walks leaders needed

The task of leading walks for OFS is falling on an ever decreasing number of members. For each six month period there are 26 weekends so if there is to be a walk at the weekend as well as one midweek then more leaders are needed so that 50 walks can be offered, it is not fair to ask a small number of leaders to be leading a walk every month in order for there to be a full programme. If you feel that you could lead a walk or would like help to reccy and then lead one please contact Liz Adams: e.adams745@btinternet.com or 01865 726031 for details and a leader pack of information.

Meet at Longworth, the Parish Council notice board near the junction of High Street and Tucks Lane (signed ‘No through road to river’). Please park considerately in the village. Near the end of the walk we’ll pass Longworth Manor, and then stop to look inside St. Mary’s Church. The terrain is generally undemanding, and there are no stiles, but there could be slippery mud in places in which case walking poles could be useful.
