New walks leaders needed

The task of leading walks for OFS is falling on an ever decreasing number of members. For each six month period there are 26 weekends so if there is to be a walk at the weekend as well as one midweek then more leaders are needed so that 50 walks can be offered, it is not fair to ask a small number of leaders to be leading a walk every month in order for there to be a full programme. Meet at North Green, Kirtlington. Please park carefully in Mill Lane. A walk via Pigeon’s Lock and Enslow, exploring the canal and quarry. Bring refreshments for en route break. Walking a short distance on a minor road. Assistance dogs only. Sue Crisp

Meet at Turville, at the small village green, alongside the church (best reached from exit 5 Stokenchurch, on M40). A fairly energetic walk with good views in the Chilterns, leaving Turville via the Chiltern Way; through Stonor Deer Park on Shakespeare Way. Followed by Oxfordshire Way to Pishill, then returning via Turville Grange and Turville Court. Visiting two Norman churches with John Piper windows. Bring refreshments and a picnic.
